Family Life
Family life in Brazil is very different than American family life. The head of the household is usually husband. The husband usually takes care of families material needs. The spouse cleans the house. They also take care of all the daily chores. The wealthy families sometimes have maids. They usually assist the spouses but they can also do the job entirely. When it comes to the group size, they are very large. They consist of a married couple, their children, other realatives including aunts, uncles, cousins, and godparents. Recently the young adults have decided to move away from their family. They build their own lives with theier life partners. They usually move to favelas. Favelas are all over Brazil. A Favela is a rundown town that is near a very populated city. It is a very populated, dirty city. Children that live in a favela usually start drugs or steal. They also have a high risk of being killed if they walked in the streets alone.
